Team Coaching & “Coached Tutorials”

Coaching Leaders has created a team coaching approach for use with groups of 6 - 10 individuals. The Coaching Leaders Coached Tutorial approach delivers close to the effectiveness of one-on-one coaching but with the cost effectiveness of larger group training.

This approach can be used where -
>         A team has a particular project to do/common goals to achieve and the organisation wishes to provide them with some support in accomplishing their goals
 OR
>        The organisation wishes to provide a cost-effective development opportunity to group of team leaders or middle managers where that group is exposed to many of the elements that make coaching so successful.

At the start of the team coaching program, the organisation and the coach work together to define the specific learning outcomes and behavioural changes that are required. Business measures for the success of the team coaching are also put in place.

Given the goal, the exact content of each tutorial/coaching session is decided by the participants working with their coach. This means that, while they are moving towards the objectives outlined by the organisation, the team is also pursuing its own learning interests.

The leadership skills that formed the basis of each team coaching module are then practised by the team members in the two or three weeks between each session. It is no surprise that leadership learning is more effective when the content is delivered over a period of say 12 weeks with bedding-in time between each idea.

Of course, as with all Coaching Leaders projects, your coaches are experienced senior executives.
